Play Port Macquarie golf course and experience a pure golfing delight. The tree lined fairways are generally quite wide and forgiving. There terrain is undulating at times which adds to coastal dune type feel on which this layout excels. There are a number of strategic risk versus reward tee shots which make shot selection key for the more experienced golfer. Most greens here are large and provide for enjoyable putting.
Our favourite hole at Port Macquarie is the beautiful 166 metre par three 16th. This great golfing hole is visually appealing with water off to the right and gardens blooming with colour. The green has limited depth, slopes from back to front, and is surrounded by three nicely sized bunkers. The play here is to land below the hole to ensure an uphill put for birdie.
Port Macquarie is an excellent stay and play golfing destination for all levels of golfers. Be sure to stay a few extra days to take in the many wonderful sights on NSW’s Mid North Coast.
