Play golf at its finest right here at the Port Fairy Golf Links. This outstanding golfing layout has to be played to be really appreciated. The natural and gentle sand dune undulations form a true links style golfing experience. The bonus here is that the sandy soils also drain very quickly and allow for playing golf in all conditions. The Port Fairy Golf Course is quickly gaining recognition as one of Australia’s finest golf courses.
There are many spectacular golfing holes to play here at Port Fairy. We rate the par four 14th signature hole as one of the finest. At 408 metres this hole is no snack. Before teeing off though be sure to admire the excellent views over Mills Reef to the right. A great tee shot is required here as the fairway sweeps down to the large green. Your second shot can be quite tricky as the prevailing winds, directly from the ocean to the right of the green, push a high ball flight way to the left. No matter where the flag is situated the best play here is to aim for the centre of the green to avoid the surrounding swails.
