Excellently maintained wide fairways and large greens are a feature when you play Palmer Sea Reef golf course. This tropical North Queensland gem is an enjoyable course to play all year round.
Touted as Australia’s only tropical links style layout Palmer Sea Reef is close enough to the ocean to be blessed with cooling sea breezes. The golf course itself is a fairly open and park like course with tropical foliage and marvelous views of the surrounding mountains.
This is a championship golf course but it offers a variety of tee off locations so playing golf here is suited to golfers of all abilities. The delightful par threes are all reachable for the average golfer.
The practice facilities here are excellent and they are close to the clubhouse and car park.
Unfortunately, similar to other Palmer golf courses, maintenance of ancillary golf course items like signage and golf cart presentation was sadly lacking on our last playing visit.
