Brilliantly designed for golfing pleasure the Pacific Dunes golf course allows players of all levels to experience this wonderful game we play on first-class facilities. With multiple tee positions and a perfect balance of water & sand traps makes Pacific Dunes a very rewarding challenge for all golfers.
The front nine meanders through a tall native gum forest that creates an glorious amphitheatre to each hole. While the back nine loops effortlessly though serene wetland areas. The Santa Ana fairways and Bentgrass greens have been absolutely impeccable with each of our visits to Pacific Dunes. Kudos to all the local greenkeepers and management.
While we have had plenty to debate on this, GolfAway’s choice for signature hole at Pacific Dunes golf course must surely be the 382 metre par four 16th. Driving is the challenge here as all the way up the left water snakes its way in and out of the fairway. For the longer hitters water comes into play on the right as the fairway narrows and doglegs left. Once you have successfully navigated the drive your approach shot is to a large oval shaped green with bunkers front left and front right. This is a superbly designed but formidable golfing hole where making par is a very pleasing achievement.
