Mudgee golf course always comes up in conversation when discussing the best inland course in New South Wales. Tree lined fairways, excellent greens and impeccable tees are just the beginning. Playing Mudgee is simply a great all round golfing experience. The brilliant new clubhouse adds to the already top class facilities.
The 168 metre par three 4th hole is one of the most scenic on the course. The green has two tiers so the play here is to select the right club and land your ball on the same tier as the flag. Par here is a good score.
On the back nine the final three holes are as good as you will find anywhere. Our favourite is the 338 metre par four 16th. From the tee you will need to navigate your golf ball through a narrow shoot to a two sided fairway. A creek runs full length down the right hand side. The perfect drive here is to the left and on the upper tier. This will enable the easier approach shot to the narrow green.
Bring your camera, there are plenty of opportunities to take a few snap shots. Stay and play golf Mudgee is an experience you will never forget.
