Masterly designed by the legendary Peter Thompson and Mike Woolveridge combination, Tura Beach’s 18 hole championship golf course has all the golfing boxes ticked. There is a lovely combination of flat beachside holes on the front nine while the quite undulating back nine offers spectacular ocean views with some exhilarating, and somewhat daunting, par 4’s and par 5’s.
Considering the fantastic variety of holes to play, GolfAway agrees that the signature hole at Tura Beach golf course is the 181 metre par three 5th. The first thing you see from the tee in the massive lake between you and the generously sized kidney shaped green. There is a bailout area all the way up the left but too far left will see your ball disappear into the coastal shrubs. With no bunkers to catch an errant tee shot you may find yourself with a lengthy chip onto the green. Par here is a great score. Birdie the 5th and you will feel quite chuffed!
