Play golf Redland Bay right on the shores of Brisbane’s Moreton Bay. The constantly cooling on-shore breezes are most welcome here in Queensland’s warm climate. Redland Bay golf course meanders its way around natural water courses and coastal vegetation. The excellent fairways and greens here are a real standout. With an array of various sized bunkers and other hazards the Redland Bay golf course is ready to test anyone’s golfing prowess.
Redland Bay’s largely underrated layout has many of great golfing holes to play. The signature hole surely is the testing but spectacular 508 metre par five 14th. When there is a king tide all down the right lies the salty waters of the Moreton Bay. All other times this area resembles a mud-crabs haven complete with mangrove trees and is certainly no place for any stray golf balls. The fairway is also heavily tree-lined on the left and is littered with pot bunkers and swales. It will take two accurate shots to get to the corner of the dogleg which is around 100 metres from the green. Your approach shot to the green also needs to be near perfect as there are two bunkers guarding the front and runoff areas all around. Scores here can easily range from 4 to 14 with any inaccurate stoke play. This is a marvelous par five golfing hole.
Special mention must also be made about the wonderfully tranquil vibe to the Redland Bay golf Clubhouse, outdoor seating areas and surrounding grass & gardens that are superbly maintained. After a day on the greens this is the perfect place to truly relax with a cool drink in quintessential Queensland style.
