Play golf at Hervey Bay’s enjoyable 18 hole layout. Accuracy is the key here as many of the par 4 fairways require precision off the tee to enable a good look at the green. With four par 3’s and two par 5’s the par 70 Hervey Bay Golf Course is extremely playable for all levels of golfers.
Hervey Bay golf course’s signature hole is undeniably the 315 metre par four 16th. From the tee you are faced with tee shot through the shute – a narrowish gap between the tall tress on either side of the fairway. The slightly downhill fairway opens out considerably and most players are then faced with a water carry approach with a short iron in-hand. The large pear shaped green slopes from back to front towards the water and a large bunker to the right guard the putting surface. There is a great chance of birdie here but also an equally great chance of double bogey (or worse).
The Hervey Bay golf course is fun to play and very popular with the locals. Out tip is to book your game well in advance.
