An unmissable place to play golf, the Anglesea Golf Course offers large elevated greens and coastal bushland lined fairways. This superb undulating layout very playable for the high handicapper but from the back tees the 6028 metre length will also test the most proficient golfer.
Our favourite hole to play here is definitely the slightly intimidating 475 metre par five 12th hole. The tee shot is a real test to find the best position on the fairway which is to the left. There is out of bounds to the left, the fairway slopes from left to right, and there is also a slight dogleg to the left. Most will not reach the green in two shots so its best to hit your second with your favourite approach distance in mind. The front of the elevated green is protected by a large bunker and the green itself is on the highest part of the entire golf course. A par or better here is like finding golfing gold.
