Be greeted by first class facilities and pristine playing conditions when you play golf at The Glades. As one of the Gold Coast’s premier golf courses The Glades offers a championship level layout that can be played and enjoyed by all levels of golfers.
The course itself meanders around natural wetlands and waterways that are visually striking from most tees. The fairways are generous, the greens are very large and the oversized bunkers are a trademark of Greg Norman designed golf courses. Many holes involve subtle and not so subtle risk versus reward club selection decisions. The Glades measures a true tournament level 7264 metres from the back tees and although there is quite a lot of water but for the most part it doesn’t really come into play.
Selecting a signature hole at The Glades is quite a task as there are many superb candidates. GolfAway has selected the picturesque 417 metre par 4 18th hole. This is possibly one of the most demanding finishing holes you will ever play. Water lies all the way down the left and the moderately generous fairway doglegs to the left. The safer tee shot is out to the right but this leaves a much longer approach. The green itself is raised and quite large with an array of bunkers to the left and right. A par or better here is gold!
