Play Nambucca Heads Island Golf Course and experience pure golfing pleasure. The entire island is surrounded by the crystal clear waters of the Nambucca River providing dramatic backdrops to many holes. With limited room on the island many fairways are closely meshed together and separated by rows of paperbark and sheoak trees.
One of our favourite holes to play at Nambucca Heads is the 482 metre par five 2nd hole. Set on the south-east coast of the island this narrow-ish fairway has a slight dogleg to the left. The Nambucca River runs all the way from tee to green an the left hand side and is best avoided. For most players the third shot is a short iron approach to the green through a narrowing fairway with trees either side. The green itself has an opening between the two small front bunkers. This is a visually stunning hole that exemplifies this wonderful island golfing experience.
