Quite an unassuming place to stay & play golf Bathurst will impress with its rich history and well maintained layout. This wonderful golf course is popular but rarely crowded. The bent greens are often fast and couch fairways lush.
The Bathurst Golf Course is challenging but very fair and forgiving. This suits all levels of golfers from low handicappers to the high handicap players. You won’t loose many golf balls here!
Most holes have tree lined fairways and the par 4 390 metre 6th hole is no exception. This is a great but challenging hole to play. A good drive is required to the slightly rising fairway leaving a blind approach shot to the a green that slopes from front to back making it difficult to hold a low flying golf ball. There a two well positioned bunkers on either side of the green.
On the back nine the par 5 15th hole is a real standout. At 514 metres it plays a little shorter with a downhill drive which is a challenge in itself with a lake to the left and out of bounds to the right. Your second shot is slightly uphill and many players find one of the two fairway bunkers. This is a fun and rewarding hole with the real possibility of birdie or eagle.
