Set in an expansive sea-side residential estate the Coral Cove golf course winds its way around large lagoons, gum forested woodlands, rich farmland, and the Coral Sea. The use of a Golf Cart here is highly recommended. The fairways here are well maintained and provide a great surface for attacking the greens.
There is only one hole bordering the Coral Sea but oh my, what a hole it is. Easily Coral Cove Golf Club’s signature hole the 203 metre par three 2nd is truly spectacular. From the back tees, that jut out into the ocean, you are faced with a tee shot over the waters edge and vegetation onto a long narrow green. Considering there is nearly always and on-shore breeze this is no easy task. Luckily most of us mere mortals can tee off from the shorter distance of 168 metres and without any water carry. This will be one of the most memorable holes you will ever play.
Special mention must also go to Australia’s longest hole, the 635 metre par six 12th hole. Imagine getting a Birdie with four shots!
