Play golf at Berri’s superb 18 hole layout at the Big River Golf & Country Club located right in the heart of South Australia’s Riverland region. The people of this dry region know how to irrigate and there are no better examples than the carpet like fairways and manicured greens at the Berri golf course.
At 6019 metres in length this championship standard golf course is a pleasure to play. Challenging for the low handicappers and very playable and enjoyable for the average golfer. The course itself normally has no water hazards so you won’t have many ‘lost ball’ situations here!
Us here at GolfAway have labelled the 144 metre par three 16th as Berri golf course’s signature hole. From the tee the green is partially blocked from sight with some small trees and overhanging branches obscuring your view. However these trees and branches don’t actually interfere with a properly flighted tee shot. The long and narrow-ish green has an ample landing area for accurate shots but bunkers lurk to the left and right. This is a Berri picturesque golfing hole and a real birdie chance. Be sure to play in the Saturday competition to collect a cash prize (conditions apply) for a hole-in-one at the 16th.
