With 14 holes that have water in play, a massive 82 bunkers overall and a number of risk rewards decisions to be made, Palm Meadows remains on of the Gold Coast’s most popular golf courses to play.

Palm Meadows greens are quite large with subtle undulations and many options for pin placements. The many fairway bunkers and greenside bunkers are also relatively large but still offer the chance to play a range of golfing shots from flat lies at the bottom. Fairways at Palm Meadows are a real treat. Having a perfect lie on the pristine fairway grass really give you every opportunity to make great golf shots.

There are quite a few contenders for the best golf hole at Palm Meadows of which there are two standouts, the opening and closing holes. GolfAway’s choice is the the stunning par five 523 metre 18th. The ample fairway curves to the right from the tee and around a large lake. Knowing your driving distance here is paramount as you decide how much water carry to take on. Or you can play safer straight up the fairway which leaves no second shot option other than a lay up.

The longer hitters also have to navigate a small clump of tall palms on the waters edge to reach the fairway. Weather you play your second or third shot to the multilevel green you will still need to cover 20 metres of water in front of the putting surface. There are many ways to play this marvelously designed golfing hole and one which you will want to play again and again.
