“Play golf on Gungahlin’s exquisite layout featuring beautiful lakes and waterways”

Gungahlin Lakes Golf Course, as it’s name suggests, has multiples lakes spread around the property. There are also many waterways that run through the property and playing golf here is a very rewarding challenge.

However, the water here does not come into to play as much as you may think. The course is designed so even the most inexperience golfer can play it and enjoy it. For the more experienced golfer there are many rewarding challenges awaiting.

The 304 metre par four 2nd hole is where you first encounter water. There is water on both sides of the fairway and the hole doglegs to the right around the lake. Being a shorter hole the mid handicappers can take a long iron of the tee here quite comfortably. There is a great chance to birdie here if you can avoid the penalty areas.

The back nine also has a great variety of golfing pleasures. The 454 metre par five 13th hole is a thing of beauty. Even though there are interconnected ponds on both left and right the play here off the tee is to avoid the water on the right hand side. A longer drive up the left is where the strategic player likes to place the golf ball. From here it is around 200 metres from green. Anywhere on the right of the fairway the green is blocked from sight by the large trees.

Gungahlin Lakes golf course is always fun to play. You will keep coming back!
