“Waikerie’s beautifully presented golf course will have you returning to play again and again.”
Play golf at Waikerie’s challenging and enjoyable 18 hole layout. This undulating course is a highlight of South Australia’s Riverland region. With plenty of variety Waikerie has no two golfing holes the same. One of this course’s main features is the many dogleg fairways. This makes club selection from the tee critical.
The fairways and greens at Waikerie Golf & Country Club are in tip top condition all year round. Thanks to the excellent irrigation systems set in place. Those who aren’t fond of bunkers will love Waikerie because you won’t find any bunkering here.
Our choice for the signature hole is definitely the short 319 metre par four 8th hole. In typical Waikerie fashion there is a dogleg left halfway down the tree lined fairway. Driving the green is not an option here. Because of the sharp turn to the left you require an accurate tee shot to the centre of the dogleg. Then your approach shot needs to pierce a rather narrow opening through the trees to an elevated green. Accuracy here is the key for a great chance of birdie.
This is a very enjoyable golf course to play and Waikerie’s country charm will have you returning again and again.
